Qualifications

• No education or experience requirements; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the register and store aisles.
• Operate the cash register and process payments (cash, card, checks, coupons, WIC, etc.).
• Count back change and issue receipts; handle refunds as needed.
• Comply with guidelines for WIC, food stamps, tobacco, liquor, and lottery sales.
• Bag merchandise, assist courtesy staff, and support drive-up and carry-out.
• Stock, face, rotate items; understand shelf tags and weekly promos.
• Keep register area clean; maintain supplies and report cash issues.
• Verify cash balances at start and end of shifts where applicable.
• Communicate clearly by intercom/phone and answer questions promptly.
• Be aware of surroundings to support store safety and security.
• Assist with displays and promotions; help in other store areas as needed.
