Job summary

Downstream Casino is seeking a friendly retail associate for Q-Store in Joplin, MO. You will stock shelves, operate the cash register, bag groceries, and assist customers in a busy environment.

Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays is required; background check and gaming license may be needed. You will uphold cleanliness and participate in monthly inventories and store upkeep to ensure an outstanding shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or its equivalency required.
• Two years retail experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
• Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Employment is contingent upon a favorable background investigation and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Display merchandise neatly and in proper order.
• Mark prices on merchandise.
• Accurately operate cash register.
• Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Attend all necessary training meetings.
• Assist in other projects, as directed.
• Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.
• At all times acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Downstream Casino Resort.
• Assist in Monthly inventories.
