Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking staff for part-time store roles across our Michigan locations. The position involves assisting customers, stocking merchandise, maintaining plan-o-grams, and operating the cash register.

The role requires basic math, cash handling, and a friendly, team-oriented approach to ensure store profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, building displays, restocking, and assisting with store cleanliness and safety

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Greet customers and operate the cash register to total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Collect payments, give change, and assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Keep the store clean: dust, mop floors, and maintain restrooms and stockroom.
