Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist in stocking and presenting merchandise, and protect company assets while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will unload trucks, stock and rotate merchandise, help customers locate items, operate the cash register, and keep the store clean and organized, including displays and sidewalk setups.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and merchandising guidance.
• Basic cash handling procedures and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise to floor or stock room.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons; rotate stock on shelves.
• Build and stock displays; rotate and face merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions.
• Operate cash register; process payments and bag items.
• Restock and tidy store; maintain clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Follow company policies and procedures; uphold store cleanliness.
• Set up sidewalk displays when needed.
