Job summary

La Crosse Lumber Company is seeking sales associates to deliver outstanding customer service and support a clean, efficient sales floor. You will assist customers in person and over the phone, help them find merchandise, and promote add-on sales to complete projects.

Responsibilities include maintaining a tidy environment, handling promotions, assisting with loading, merchandising, stocking, and inventories.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
  • Working knowledge of the store products with willingness to learn.
  • Organized, self-starter who solves problems independently.
  • Knowledge of effective sales methods and techniques.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems for price lookup, special orders, and entry; MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in person and on the phone, answering questions, helping find merchandise, and suggesting add-on sales.
  • Maintain a clean, inviting sales floor and handle housekeeping tasks.
  • Notify customers of promotions and new products.
  • Assist with loading products into customers’ vehicles as needed.
  • Merchandise products according to planograms and maintain signage.
  • Restock shelves and assist with regular inventory.
