Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to assist customers with locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and help maintain store appearance. The role supports the Store Manager in maximizing profitability and protecting assets, while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
• Knowledge of planograms and merchandise presentation guidelines.
• Experience operating cash registers and scanners.
• Ability to stock, stock rotation and merchandise displays.
• Understanding of safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Follow merchandise processes: unpack, stock, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Keep store clean: sweep, mop, take out trash, and maintain restrooms and back areas.
