Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Clerk/Customer Service Associate to join our team in Georgia. You will help stock shelves, assist customers, operate the cash register, and maintain neat displays to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction.

This role requires basic math, safety awareness, and the ability to read plan-o-grams and merchandise guidance. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relocation is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• 4. Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• 5. Basic mathematical skills.
• 6. Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• 2. Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move directly to sales floor.
• 3. Build merchandise displays.
• 4. Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• 5. Restock recovered merchandise.
• 6. Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• 7. Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• 8. Comply with company policies and procedures.
• 9. Greet customers.
• 10. Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase; bag merchandise.
• 11. Collect payment from customer and make change.
• 12. Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed.
• 13. Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
