Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking a full-time Sales Associate to engage customers, assist with their needs, and ensure a memorable shopping experience in a community-focused store. Weekend availability is required, with opportunities to contribute to store initiatives and team success.

Ideal candidates bring 6–12 months retail experience, strong organizational skills, and basic computer/ POS proficiency to support smooth daily operations and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance and punctuality required.
• 6–12 months retail experience preferred.
• Weekend availability (as part of regular schedule)
• Bilingual Spanish preferred (written/spoken)
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record may be required for deliveries or forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, be helpful and friendly at all times.
• Assist with unloading trucks and stocking merchandise as directed.
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization and stock levels.
• Participate in daily huddles and share improvement ideas with management.
• Perform daily operational tasks accurately as directed by store management.
• Join team meetings and contribute to store initiatives.
• Monitor displays, handle special orders, and deter shoplifting through customer interactions.
• Operate cash register and assist with cashiering as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
