Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking friendly, helpful team members to welcome and assist customers in our store. Basic home improvement knowledge is required to help customers select hoses, supplies for drywall repair, and outlets for electrical projects.

You will work in a fast-paced, community-focused environment with opportunities to learn and grow. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and enjoy helping neighbors complete projects in a local hardware store setting.

Qualifications

• Basic home improvement and repair knowledge is required.
• Friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers and staff.
• Strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
• Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers and staff.
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
• Assist with daily maintenance, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
