Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is hiring for a store associate role focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, uphold QA standards, and embody our Customer 1st strategy with every interaction.

Responsibilities include helping customers with questions, maintaining product knowledge, suggesting items, ensuring freshness, labeling and stocking shelves, and following safety

Qualifications

• Able to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.
• Any retail experience is a plus.
• Second language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions and suggest products.
• Recommend grocery items to customers and inform them of specials.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and provide customers with fresh products ordered.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
