Job summary

Foodtown PSK Supermarkets in the New York trade area is seeking motivated cashiers to provide friendly, accurate checkout service and help customers quickly. You will scan, price and bag products, take payments, and ensure proper change when needed.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean front-end, and assisting with questions. Weekend availability is required to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for duration of shift; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Understand and operate the cash register; follow cash handling procedures.
• Accurately identify and scan products; ensure correct pricing.
• Process payments (cash, credit, checks, EBT, coupons) per company guidelines.
