Job summary

Kroger at 1609 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948 is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver friendly, prompt service and keep the store clean and welcoming. You will bag groceries, assist customers, and maintain shelves and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items without damage.
• Follow best bagging practices with reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Greet customers and keep bascarts organized and cleaned.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout and locate products; conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Adhere to safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
