Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco products.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Must possess basic reading, writing and math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to operate a personal computer.
• Ability to understand and comply with company policies and procedures relating to robberies and the safe handling of petroleum products.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays with adherence to attendance policy.
• Arrive to work on time, consistently.
• Maintain proper uniform and appearance according to Gate standards.
• Attend required training, safety courses; participate in department meetings.
• Report safety hazards and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Interact with customers to answer questions about products or services.
• Provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience for customers.
• Greet customers and assist with inquiries; resolve complaints when needed.
• Operate cash register, money order machine, electronic lottery, safes and payment devices.
• Stock shelves, price items, and ensure products are displayed and coded correctly.
