Rural King is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier in Ohio to deliver outstanding customer service, process transactions accurately, and maintain a welcoming store environment.

You will greet customers, explain loyalty programs and payment options, handle returns and price checks, and collaborate with team members to keep shelves stocked and the checkout area organized. Join a team focused on People First values and grow with a retailer serving rural communities.

Responsibilities

• Exceed customer expectations with outstanding service and clear communication.
• Greet customers with a friendly demeanor as they enter the store.
• Follow cashier scripts to guide transactions and educate on loyalty programs and RK Visa.
• Execute cash handling, returns, layaway, and exchange policies accurately.
• Communicate professionally with Rural King associates and customers.
• Provide product information and answer basic inquiries, offering recommendations.
• Coordinate with loaders and respond to customer requests for assistance.
• Operate registers efficiently while maintaining timely service and price accuracy.
• Stand at the front of registers when not processing a transaction to assist customers.
• Promote Rural King loyalty program benefits and RK Visa features.
• Respond to calls at the registers with professional etiquette and identify yourself as Rural King staff.
• Ensure registers reconcile and paperwork is properly filed.
• Maintain awareness to prevent shrink and ensure customer service excellence.
• Participate in stocking, cleaning, and general cashier duties, including refilling stations.
• Use office equipment and participate in cross-training for flexibility.
• Engage in training programs and webinars to grow skills.
• Provide friendly, proactive internal and external support.
