Job summary

Ace Retail Group, a division of Ace Hardware Corporation, seeks a friendly Cashier for our Michigan retail team. You will handle register transactions, greet customers, and help with basic store operations to ensure a smooth checkout experience.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate cash handling, and teamwork at the local store. A High School diploma or GED and cashier or customer service experience are preferred; standing and light lifting are required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Cashier experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Project a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware. Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store. Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Register Operations: Follow all cash register transaction procedures. Responsible for balancing of register drawer. Adhere to any Store Support Center program or promotion that may require implementation at the cash registers.
• Front End Appearance and Upkeep: Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all times.
