Dick Huvaere’s Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to be the primary contact for our customers in the Service Department. You will accurately identify service needs, recommend repairs, and communicate with customers and technicians to ensure a smooth repair process.

The right candidate combines professionalism, organization, and a customer-first attitude, balancing customer satisfaction, technician productivity, and timely updates while maintaining high CSI

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer is preferred.
• Strong automotive knowledge and ability to explain vehicle repairs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong sales and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work with technicians, parts personnel, management, and customers.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to use dealership computer systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally and establish a positive relationship.
• Listen to customer concerns and document vehicle symptoms and services.
• Write clear and accurate repair orders.
• Inspect vehicles and communicate maintenance and repairs based on guidelines and findings.
• Present repair recommendations clearly and explain value of repairs.
• Prepare accurate estimates and obtain authorization before additional work.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the repair process.
• Coordinate with technicians, parts personnel, and management to ensure quality repairs.
• Monitor progress and inform customers of changes to completion times or recommendations.
• Review completed repairs with customers and explain work and charges.
• Handle questions professionally and pursue effective resolutions.
• Maintain high CSI and customer retention standards.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer-pay and maintenance business while recommending needed services.
• Process warranty and service-contract repairs per policies.
• Maintain documentation and follow dealership procedures.
• Meet or exceed individual and department goals.
