Job summary

Comet is seeking an experienced Deployment Engineer (remote, East or Central USA) to help customers deploy, operate, and troubleshoot Comet in their environments. You will lead deployments, resolve issues, and contribute to deployment tooling and documentation.

You will work with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure, communicating clearly with customers and internal teams. This is a customer-facing engineering role in a remote-first company.

Qualifications

• Proven customer-facing technical experience is essential.
• Experience using AI tools in real engineering workflows.
• Strong Linux, networking, and infrastructure troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain Comet across Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Own customer issues from investigation through resolution with cross-team collaboration.
• Develop and improve Helm charts, Terraform, deployment tooling, and automation.
• Participate in technical customer calls and explain complex topics clearly.
• Use AI tools for troubleshooting, development, and automation while validating results.
