Qualifications

• Basic computer and math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance based on your schedule.
• Adherence to our dress code, appearance and personal hygiene standards.
• May be cross trained in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and engage in friendly conversation
• Scan items quickly and correctly
• Operate the register or self-checkout
• Accept various forms of payment (gift cards, credits, debits, EBT, tax exempt, store charge, WIC)
• Verify customer identification for liquor and tobacco purchases
• Bag customers' items and load into cart
• Keep equipment in proper working order
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
• Work safely to prevent injuries
• Observe and report shoplifters
