Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Sales Associate in New York to act as a primary point of contact for customers, assist in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the cash register, and keep the store stocked and clean. You will help customers, process payments, and maintain displays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified applicants typically have a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication and basic math skills. Prior retail or IBM register experience is a plus; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and display guidance.
• Basic cash handling knowledge and math skills.
• Experience using IBM cash registers is a plus.
