Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking Customer Service/Sales associates in Reading, PA. You will greet and assist customers, learn product knowledge, and guide customers through projects across department areas. You’ll maintain stock, keep aisles safe and tidy, and work closely with supervisors to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Roles include department sales, lead generation, pro account sales, and order processing. Training emphasizes safety and helpful, proactive customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department.
• Handle basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas; keep area clean, shop-able and safe.
• Follow all safety policies and complete safety training; report hazards to Manager on Duty.
• Work with Department Supervisor and other associates across departments.
