The Kenyon College Bookstore is seeking a part-time Customer Service and Sales Associate in Gambier, OH. This role supports the Operational Manager and helps drive sales and service while training new staff when needed.

You'll greet customers, assist with research and locating items, process transactions, manage drawer counts, and help with food service tasks. Open evenings and weekends; strong customer focus is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and seek positive outcomes for interactions.
• Assist customers in researching, identifying and locating items.
• Process transactions with cash, cards and campus systems.
• Manage drawer counts at opening and closing.
• Assist in food service areas (scooping ice cream, restocking, coffee prep).
• Notify the Operational Manager of inventory discrepancies and customer concerns.
• Support trainees and new hires when leadership is unavailable.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in daily checklists.
