Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking an organized, customer-focused Order Management Specialist to support the full order lifecycle from quotation through delivery. You will use SAP to maintain accurate records, communicate status, and resolve issues, ensuring a consistently positive customer experience.

Hybrid schedule out of the Muncie, IN office, collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Finance to fulfill orders and respond promptly to inquiries.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused professional to support the complete order lifecycle—from initial inquiry and quotation through order entry, coordination, shipment, and follow-up. This position serves as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams, using SAP to maintain accurate information, communicate status, resolve issues, and help deliver a consistently positive customer experience.

You will work on a hybrid schedule out of the Honeywell office in Muncie, IN.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders from receipt through shipment, ensuring accurate, timely processing.
• Enter, update, monitor, and maintain sales orders, customer information, pricing, delivery dates, and related records in SAP.
• Prepare accurate and timely quotations for customers and internal stakeholders using approved pricing, terms, and procedures.
• Review purchase orders and other documentation for completeness, accuracy, pricing, product, quantity, and delivery requirements.
• Provide customers and internal teams with clear updates regarding quotations, order acknowledgments, availability, lead times, changes, shipment status, and delivery expectations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Finance, Warehouse, and Shipping teams to support order fulfillment and meet customer commitments.
• Identify and resolve order discrepancies, pricing questions, delivery concerns, and other service issues; escalate when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation while following company policies, approval requirements, and internal controls.
• Prioritize multiple requests and orders in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Build trusted relationships by communicating professionally, responding promptly, and following through on commitments.
• Support process improvements that enhance order accuracy, responsiveness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, order management, inside sales support, supply chain support, or a related business function.
• 2+ years of experience working with SAP or another enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to process and manage business transactions.
• 2+ years of experience demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• 2+ years of experience communicating effectively with customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams through written and verbal interactions.
• 2+ years of experience performing detailed data entry, documentation, and record management with a high degree of accuracy.
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel, to support business operations and reporting.
• 2+ years of experience applying sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and proactive follow-up to resolve customer or operational issues.
• 2+ years of experience working independently and contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to Have:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, communications, or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience supporting customers and managing orders in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or business-to-business environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP sales-order processing, quotation entry, delivery status, or related order-to-cash activities.
• Experience interpreting customer purchase orders, pricing information, and commercial terms.
