Job summary

You will unload trucks, build displays, restock merchandise, assist customers in locating items, and follow plan-o-gram guidance while upholding safety and company policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal and oral communication skills required.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills for transactions.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise as required.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock in stock room or on floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays and face products on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and ensure shelves are full.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise on the sales floor.
• Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust floors and clean restrooms/stockroom.
• Greet customers and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner; bag and total purchases.
• Collect payments and make change accurately.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean front end and assist with sidewalk displays when required.
