Job description

Customer Experience | Retail & Warranty
Build the Brand. Earn the Trust. Live the Adventure.

Badlands has never been interested in following the pack.

For over 30 years, we've built gear trusted by outdoor enthusiasts when performance matters most. Today, we're building something even bigger—a premium outdoor brand defined by innovative products and exceptional customer experiences.

Every interaction shapes our reputation. Every customer is an opportunity to earn trust.

That's where you come in.

YOUR MISSION

As a Customer Experience Guide, you'll be one of the first people customers meet—whether they walk into our retail store, call, or send an email.

Your mission is simple:

Deliver an experience that reflects the quality of the Badlands brand.

You'll build relationships, solve problems, and ensure every customer leaves confident they've chosen the right company—not just the right gear.

WHERE YOU CAN GO

We're hiring someone to build a career—not just fill a position.

As Badlands grows, opportunities will continue to open across Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Leadership, and beyond.

People who demonstrate ownership, initiative, and a commitment to excellence will be the first considered for new opportunities and expanded responsibilities.

Your career here won't be defined by tenure.

It will be defined by the impact you make.

Responsibilities
WHERE YOU'LL START

Every great career starts by learning the business from the ground up.

You’ll become an expert in our products, our customers, and what it means to deliver a premium experience.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Creating an exceptional experience for every customer visiting the Badlands retail store.
  • Answering phone calls and emails with professionalism, enthusiasm, and product knowledge.
  • Helping customers find the right gear for their next adventure.
  • Managing warranty claims with urgency, ownership, and attention to detail.
  • Shipping replacement parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Becoming a trusted product resource for customers and teammates.
  • Supporting the team wherever needed as we continue to grow.

These responsibilities are more than daily tasks—they’re the foundation for your future at Badlands.

Qualifications
WHO YOU ARE

You enjoy helping people.

You communicate with confidence and professionalism.

  • Positive and approachable.
  • Organized and dependable.
  • Curious and eager to learn.
  • A strong communicator.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Adaptable and accountable.
  • Team-first.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams), with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technology.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU
  • Love spending time outdoors—whether that’s hiking, camping, backpacking, overlanding, hunting, or exploring.
  • Have experience with technical outdoor gear.
  • Have a background in retail, customer service, or sales.
  • Take pride in creating exceptional customer experiences.
