Job summary

Winners Merchants International, L.P. is seeking a Front End Lead at TJ Maxx in Norristown, PA to promote an excellent customer experience and lead a team across front-end operations.

The role requires strong merchandising knowledge, multitasking ability, and effective communication. You will train associates, manage POS coverage, and ensure adherence to labor laws and store policies while supporting loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail experience and at least 6 months in a leadership role.
• Strong merchandising knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Promote an excellent customer experience and loyalty program participation.
• Lead front-of-store team, ensure prompt and courteous service.
• Train and mentor associates on front-end operations.
• Manage registers, POS coverage, and break schedules.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure tasks align with store plan and priorities.
• Maintain safety, labor law compliance, and policy adherence.
• Communicate progress and priorities with management.
• Recognize good performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Partner with management on training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Support shrink reduction goals and safety programs.
• Foster a positive store culture and teamwork.

Responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience. Oversees a team of Associates at front of store ensuring prompt, courteous customer service and promotion of loyalty programs. Leads by example by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Role models outstanding customer service.

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Takes an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front end principles
• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs
• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates
• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
