Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Midland, TX is seeking a Store Leader to drive an outstanding customer experience at the front of the store. You will lead Associates, promote loyalty programs, and model courteous service while maintaining a clean, organized store.

Requirements include 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership, ability to train others, strong merchandising and communication skills, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Strong merchandising, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to train others and lead front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Promotes an excellent customer experience and leads by example at the front of the store.
• Trains and mentors Associates on front-end principles; promotes loyalty programs.
• Assigns registers, coordinates breaks, and ensures POS coverage as needed.
• Addresses customer concerns promptly and maintains a positive store atmosphere.
• Ensures tasks align with the store plan and communicates priorities to the team.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs and adheres to labor laws and policies.

Responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience. Oversees a team of Associates at front of store ensuring prompt, courteous customer service and promotion of loyalty programs. Leads by example by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Role models outstanding customer service.

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Takes an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front end principles
• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs
• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates
• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

This position has a starting pay range of $14.00 to $14.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
