The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking an energetic front-end leader at TJ Maxx in Bridgewater, NJ. You will promote an outstanding customer experience, manage front-end operations, and mentor Associates on loyalty programs and procedures.

Qualified candidates will have 1 year of retail and 6 months of leadership experience, with strong communication, merchandising, and teamwork skills. Responsibilities include POS coverage, breaks coordination, and adherence to labor laws.

• Train and mentor Associates on front end principles and loyalty programs
• Assign registers and coordinate breaks for Associates; ensure POS coverage
• Address customer concerns promptly and maintain a clean, organized store
• Promote safety, reduce shrink, and comply with labor laws and policies
• Engage with management to communicate priorities and progress

Responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience. Oversees a team of Associates at front of store ensuring prompt, courteous customer service and promotion of loyalty programs. Leads by example by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Role models outstanding customer service.

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Takes an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front end principles
• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs
• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates
• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

This position has a starting pay range of USD $16.92 to $17.42 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
