Job summary

The Salvation Army Edmond Store is seeking a friendly cashier to assist customers, operate the cash register, and balance daily receipts. You’ll maintain clean, orderly displays and help with donations, while ensuring security of the cash register area.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED; prior retail experience is preferred. On-site training will be provided, with duties including answering phones and assisting donors and shoppers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Retail store experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
• Operate and maintain the cash register; collect monies, count change, and prepare receipts; balance the cash register drawer.
• Print routine register print-outs and prepare and deliver bank deposits.
