Job summary

Jump Start Stores is seeking a Team Member in Wichita, KS, to provide exceptional customer service and support daily operations in our convenience store environment.

You will greet customers, assist with purchases, operate the POS, handle cash, stock shelves, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure a safe, welcoming store atmosphere. This role supports promotions and loyalty initiatives and requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Previous retail, convenience store, grocery, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to accurately count money and make change.
• Ability to learn and operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, honesty, and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist with purchases.
• Provide prompt, accurate assistance with product inquiries and concerns.
• Promote promotions, fresh food offerings, and loyalty program.
• Operate the POS system accurately and process payments.
• Count money, give correct change, and balance cash drawer.
• Stock merchandise and maintain an organized sales floor.
• Ensure product freshness, rotate inventory, and check expiration dates.
• Assist with deliveries and vendor check-ins; verify invoices.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Support a faith-based mission and professional workplace conduct.
