Job summary

Dollar General in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Sales Associate to serve as the primary contact for customers. You will assist shoppers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help keep the store clean and orderly to maximize sales and protect company assets.

You will follow company procedures for stocking and merchandising, greet customers, handle cash accurately, and support the Store Manager with daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment from customers and make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as necessary.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
