Job summary

Gate Petroleum Company is seeking a Store Associate to support daily store operations, assist customers, and maintain a clean and well-stocked store. You will participate in training on programs and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.

The role requires you to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with emphasis on customer service and efficient checkout experiences while upholding Gate standards.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco products.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach (including overhead).
• Ability to successfully work in varying and extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to work on time, consistently.
• Maintain proper uniform and appearance per company standards.
• Attend required training and safety courses; participate in meetings.
• Report safety hazards and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Provide friendly, efficient checkout experience and assist customers.
• Greet customers and answer questions about products or services offered.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with a positive attitude.
• Stock shelves, set prices, and ensure products are labeled correctly.
• Operate cash register and handling of payments per store policies.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• All other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
