Job summary

BFS Foods is seeking a Sandwich Artist™ to serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner, promoting SUBWAY brand awareness and maintaining hygiene.

The role reports to the General Manager, with responsibilities spanning store merchandising, food safety, and daily operations to support a busy SUBWAY location. This position offers both part-time and full-time hours, emphasizing teamwork and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and check in stock
• Daily bread counts
• Food preparation including bread and cookie baking
• Comply with Food Code of Practice
• Ensure food is prepared and stored and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety and Audit standards
• Carry out temperature checks and record as per company process
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules as per cleaning chart
• Take precautions to prevent theft of, and damage to, the stock or store
• Follow company security procedures
• Secure cash and stock from loss or theft
• Count end of shift monies and drop in safe
• Follow safety procedures to prevent injury
• Provide a safe work environment for employees and customers
• Maintain high personal presentation in the provided uniform to meet SUBWAY and customer expectations
• Work as a team member
• Complete training courses as directed by the SUBWAY Manager
• Ensure customers are served in an efficient and friendly manner
• Maintain high personal standards in both presentation and work habits
• Ensure that Health and Safety standards are met
• Complete daily work routines in an efficient and timely manner
• Perform such similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required or assigned.
