Key Responsibilities

1. Start your day in store, checking your delivery routes.
2. Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery directly to customers.
3. Complete all necessary vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance, health, and safety standards.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service as your top priority.
5. Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
6. Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
• IT literate.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Previous experience in a driving role.
• Knowledge of chilled vehicles.

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver quality Waitrose products and partner-led service directly to customers' doors, embodying our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers.

When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation. The role offers varied part-time hours (15 hours per week, 2 days), including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends, between 06:00 and 22:30.
