Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Banking Customer Service Representative in Connecticut to deliver the bank’s products and services with accuracy and courtesy.

You will handle financial transactions, assess customer needs, and refer to Investment, Insurance, and Lending teams when appropriate, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent with bank-related training.

Job description

Deliver the Bank’s products and services through alternative delivery systems to potential and existing customers
Perform financial transactions accurately and effectively
Provide high-quality customer service and maintain Ion’s service standards
Contribute to strategic growth and service goals through product knowledge and referrals
Stay current on policies, procedures, technology, and alternative delivery methods
Achieve established departmental goals
Analyze customer needs, explain and offer suitable products
Respond to inquiries and resolve customer questions/issues courteously and promptly
Conduct installment and secured loan interviews
Complete phone applications and process applications on a computer
Refer customers to Investment, Insurance, and Lending teams for financial planning support
Maintain daily records of customer contact, sales, and other data for reporting and follow-up
Receive, verify, and process customer transactions through the PC
Report fraudulent, counterfeit, or suspicious activity to the security department
Verify customer information to ensure accurate processing and prevent fraud
Balance daily work
Maintain an average volume of 20 customers per hour
Ensure assigned activities comply with Bank policy and State and Federal Regulations

Requirements

High School diploma required, along with additional college coursework or bank-related training
Minimum of 1 year of banking experience
At least 2 years of sales and customer service experience—or a comparable combination of education and experience
Familiarity with financial terminology, banking systems, and various payment delivery options
Ability to perform financial transactions accurately while adhering to policies and procedures
Working knowledge of applicable banking regulations
Knowledge of company policies and procedures, technology, and alternative delivery methods
Ability to conduct installment and secured loan interviews
Ability to complete phone applications and process applications on a computer
Ability to recognize and report fraudulent, counterfeit, or suspicious activity
Ability to verify customer information and prevent misuse or intentional fraud
Ability to maintain an average volume of 20 customers per hour while adhering to industry standards
Ability to follow Bank policy and State and Federal Regulations
