Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate in Chicago to assist customers, operate the register, stock merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness. You will help customers locate items, process transactions, and support merchandise displays.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and good communication skills. This position involves standing for long periods, lifting, and occasional outdoor exposure while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandize presentation guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, give change, bag merchandise.
• Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and create displays.
• Clean store, take out trash, mop floors, and maintain restrooms and receiving area.
