Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Sales Associate to be the frontline for customers in our Illinois store. You will help customers locate and purchase merchandise, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and organized to maximize profitability and satisfaction.

Successful candidates are friendly, reliable, and able to follow safety policies, perform basic math, and handle cash accurately.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills required.
• Basic math and cash handling knowledge.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandising guides.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner, total purchases and give change.
• Stock, restock, rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, and maintain cleanliness.
