Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service by discovering guests’ needs.
• Ring up all sales on the cash register and POS accurately, using suggestive selling where appropriate.
• Handle money, checks, and other payments with honesty and integrity.
• Follow cash-handling policies to prevent loss and ensure accuracy.
• Safeguard cash and merchandise; report and respond to security incidents per procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, restrooms, counters and display areas.
• Address customer complaints tactfully and promptly.
• Adhere to laws and company policy on restricted beverage and tobacco sales.
• Process service transactions such as lottery, vendor coupons, and approved cards per policy.
• Identify and report safety hazards; follow emergency procedures as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports and notify management promptly.
• Maintain gas island cleanliness and stock levels; ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Perform duties to ensure proper product rotation, stocking, and pricing.
• Assist in inventory control and vendor check-in where needed.
• Maintain knowledge of products and promotions for selling opportunities.
