Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to act as a point of contact for customers in a busy store environment. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate the cash register, and help maintain attractive displays.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, stocking and rotating merchandise, cleaning the store, and supporting the Store Manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Basic cash handling knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to operate cash register.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, scan items, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Follow merchandising processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
