Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to serve as the customer contact, arrange plan-o-grams, stock shelves, and assist in checkout operations. You will ensure merchandise is properly displayed, restocked, and that store areas are clean and organized.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays.
