Job summary

Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in Columbia, SC is seeking an Associate / Cashier to process customers and support store operations while promoting sales and helpful service. You will handle the cash register, assist customers, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment.

Work hours include a flexible schedule with weekends and holidays. A high school diploma is preferred and you must be 18 or older.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Open availability to work weekends and holidays and varying shifts.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists them in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Operates cash register, promotes sales and maintains cash control.
• Cleans, stocks and maintains checkout area, displays, and backroom.
• Maintains exterior property such as sidewalks, drives, pump islands and equipment.
• Participates in team efforts to achieve store or company goals.
• Performs duties in a safe manner and follows safety policies.
