Job summary

Lowe's is hiring for a cashier to provide a fast, friendly checkout experience and assist customers with payments and exchanges. You’ll work primarily at the register, with opportunities to help in other areas as needed to keep customers satisfied.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to stand for long periods, and comfortable handling cash and computer-based tasks in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic required.
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods.
• Experience using a computer.
• Lift up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
