Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training completed; levels 1 and 2 of training offered.
• Prolonged standing and lifting up to 30 lbs; occasionally up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to handle cash, checks, and cards and balance till at shift end.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the location.
• Operate the cash register accurately using UPC scanner, quick key, and product keywords.
• Accept money in cash, checks, and cards for purchases.
• Assist customers with locating products, questions about products or prices.
• Organize and maintain work areas, including transaction tickets.
• Balance cash register and sales at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Process returns and exchanges per store policy.
• Assist customers with resolving complaints, escalating when needed.
• Assist with stocking and housekeeping; attend meetings and training.
