Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a friendly cashier to provide efficient, courteous service in the checkout lane and create positive customer experiences. You will handle transactions, use POS systems, and engage customers with a helpful, outgoing attitude.

You will complete transactions accurately, maintain cash handling standards, and build trustful relationships to encourage repeat visits. Prior retail experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
• Desire to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
• Complete transactions, handle money in all forms responsibly and maintain accuracy of point of sale purchases.
