United Natural Foods, Inc. is hiring a Courtesy Clerk in Bowie, MD to deliver prompt, friendly service and keep the store clean and inviting. You’ll gather shopping carts, assist customers, restock shelves, and help maintain restrooms and common areas.

Evening and weekend availability is required to fit store needs. We value teamwork, safety, and a positive attitude as you greet customers, handle merchandise, and support colleagues across departments.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Visual requirements include distance vision with color vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
• Gathers carts from the parking lot and returns them to their proper location in the store.
• Cleans restrooms and keeps them well stocked with toilet paper and paper towels.
• Keeps bag racks full and returns left items to their proper place.
• Must be able to work evening and weekend hours.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items, loading heavy items, and passing along suggestions.
• Works with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Maintains sanitation and keeps janitorial areas clean; removes trash promptly.
• Adheres to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
