Position: Security Custody Officer Flex - Unarmed

Payrate is $26.00 per hour. Flex Shift

Location: Arcadia, California

Responsibilities:

The Custody Officer is responsible for the care, custody, safety, security, and supervision of inmates housed within the jail facility. This position requires strong communication, clerical, observation, and decision-making skills while maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Custody Officers must be capable of working independently in a secure correctional environment and performing duties that ensure the safety of inmates, staff, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must successfully complete a Title 15 STC-certified course within the first year of employment in compliance with BSCC requirements.
• Must be physically fit and capable of passing all state-required testing and training standards.
• Must obtain CPR/AED certification and Food Handler certification upon completion of probation.

Qualifications (MUST HAVE):

• Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
