Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Custom Millwork Door Assembler to accurately assemble custom millwork products and components, ensuring quality through adherence to the schedule and minimal supervision.

You will set up equipment, review work orders, cut components, assemble products to specifications, use templates and tools, and maintain safety standards while handling material in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Growth opportunities exist as we promote from within.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• General understanding of millwork assembly and woodworking processes.
• General carpentry skills are desirable.
• Possess knowledge of using a variety of tools.
• Ability to do repetitious work.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and stage material for assembly.
• Review and analyze work orders to ensure materials are provided and available.
• Cuts components and ensures the accuracy of cuts.
• Assembles custom millwork products based on specifications and designs provided.
• Performs various assembly and finishing processes required for custom millwork production.
• Utilizes various templates and tools.
• Ensures orders are completed accurately and according to schedule and to customer’s specifications.
• Adheres to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment.
• Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Reports any defects or safety issues immediately.

A Carter Lumber Custom Millwork Door Assembler is responsible for assembling custom millwork products and components accurately to ensure a quality product is produced. This is accomplished by completing job orders as directed by the schedule with minimal supervision. Adheres to safety regulations when handling material and equipment. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements to be Considered for this Position:
