Job summary

Best Buy is seeking an in-home installation lead to install and program advanced audio systems in homes and businesses. You will establish cabling, program control systems and collaborate with sales teams, engineers, and contractors to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Required is 1 year of sales/delivery/installation or repair, 2 years of customer service, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 75 pounds (150 pounds as a team), and age 21+.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in sales, delivery, installation or repair OR military equivalent.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required to perform job effectively within 90 days of hire.
• Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds individually or 150 pounds as a team.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

As a Custom In-Home Installation Lead, you’ll lend your talents to the delivery, installation, configuration and programming of advanced audio systems in residential and commercial spaces. You’ll need to meet the custom installation standards for device mounting, cable management, power management and functionality of audio products. You must have a solid understanding of general electrical and construction principles. You must also be able to follow current National Electrical Code and Uniform Building Code standards as well as any code or applicable laws mandated by the authorizing jurisdiction.

What you’ll do

Establish the cabling infrastructure in both retrofit and new construction work environments

Program basic automation and control systems.

Collaborate with Best Buy sales teams, custom installation managers, engineers, programmers, general contractors and subcontractors

Oversee all aspects of customer deliveries, setups, tutoring sessions and troubleshooting

1 year of experience in sales, delivery, installation or repair OR military equivalent

Current, valid driver’s license
