Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking a Custom Coordinator II to oversee custom orders from intake to delivery. You will coordinate with clients, estimators, purchasing, programming, production, and receiving to ensure alignment and timely execution, while ensuring accurate production documentation and material compatibility.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or higher; drafting/design degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years in commercial/residential window, curtainwall, storefront projects or PM/Design drafting experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented; proficient with technical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Own custom orders from intake through release to production and delivery, ensuring scope, specifications, timelines and requirements are met.
  • Coordinate between clients, estimators, purchasing, programming, production and receiving to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Manage all client-facing communications regarding order status, changes, lead times and issue resolution.
  • Enter orders into ERP and monitor status; verify hardware compatibility; provide necessary documentation to production.
  • Produce accurate production documents using AutoCAD and ERP.

The role also encompasses responsibilities from purchase order receipt through delivery to the client.Core duties include entering orders into the ERP system, monitoring order status, verifying hardware compatibility, providing necessary documentation to the production team, and ensuring receipt of required materials. Serving as a central point of coordination, the position facilitates communication with clients and internal departments to achieve timely and efficient order fulfillment.***Key Responsibilities*****Customer Service:*** Own custom orders from intake through release to production and delivery—ensuring scope, specifications, timelines, and requirements are accurate, complete, and executed correctly.* Serve as the central point of contact coordinating between clients, estimators, purchasing, programming, production, and receiving to ensure alignment, issue resolution, and timely execution.* Manage all client-facing communication related to order status, changes, lead times, and issue resolution—ensuring expectations are clearly set and met.**Order Entry*** Intermediate level understanding of order entry processes and procedures. Able to retrieve product and process related information to perform job related duties.* Intermediate level product knowledge and understanding of product operation, functionality, and compatibility within or in relation to framing materials and associated products.* Efficiently generate high quality production documents that are complete and accurate using AutoCAD, ERP, or other tools as applicable.***Experience & Skills**** **Education:** High school education, Associates in Project Management, or Drafting & Design degree.* **Experience:** One year of experience in commercial or residential window, curtainwall, and/or storefront products, or Two years’ experience as project manager and/or Design Drafting experience.* **Required Skills:** Possesses strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
