Job summary

St. Louis County Schools is seeking a casual Custodial substitute to support our schools. This position is responsible for cleaning interior and exterior areas to maintain a clean and safe environment for students and staff.

Hours are casual, Monday through Friday as needed, wage is $16.75 per hour, and location options include Northwoods, Northeast Range, Cherry, South Ridge, or Tower. Pre-employment background check required; HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year experience in general maintenance and/or custodial/cleaning services; more is a plus.
• Must complete pre-employment background check after conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior school areas to provide a safe, sanitary environment.
• Follow district protocols and procedures in performing duties.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and work independently with limited supervision.

Position Details:

Enjoy a rewarding position as a casual Custodial sub in our schools! This position is responsible for the cleaning of the school premises which includes both interior and exterior job duties to provide a safe and sanitary environment for the students and staff. This position enjoys a flexible schedule and opportunity to work independently following district protocols and procedures.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to operate small equipment – such as lawnmowers, genie lifts, small tractorsand power tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to maintain respect for student confidentiality

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year experience in general maintenance and/or custodial/cleaning services. Additional years of experience in this area is preferable.
• Must complete pre-employment background check upon conditional offer of employment.
