Responsibilities

• Perform custodial maintenance of Cornell's facilities in assigned areas.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, corridors, lobbies, offices, classrooms, labs, lounges, kitchens, and dorms.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets; scrub, wax, and burnish floors; disinfect restrooms.
• Operate and maintain heavy-duty power custodial equipment.
• Respond to emergencies including water cleanups and snow events as needed.
• Maintain key security and respect privacy of faculty, staff, and students.
• Handle outdoor grounds nearby: sweep sidewalks and shovel snow as required.
